Short Introduction:

I have this trend going on where before every post I give a short introduction on myself and what the post I've made is about. I'm ggteixeira, just another average guy who enjoys playing games on his spare time, reading posts on Steemit, then going out and making his own daily content. Today, my friend and I decided to start a 'Total War: Warhammer' campaign where we'd each start in different ends of the map, each trying to establish ourselves before fighting it out in an all-out war of undead versus humanity.

Before we get started;

I'd like to give a brief description of the game. 'Total War: Warhammer,' is a fantasy-based real time strategy game taking place in the lore-rich Warhammer universe. There are a variety of different races, groups, and factions players can choose from to play in one large map against each other where they can either wage war against each other, team up through diplomacy, trade to further their economy, and so much more.

Now with all of that out of the way, let's get right into the action itself!

Here in the game's preview screen you can see the settings we chose to play with along with both the factions my friend and I chose. I chose to lead the Vampire Counts as the notorious Mannfred von Carstein, a noble who did great things throughout his life that turned towards dark magic near death to seek out revenge against those who had betrayed him in life.

As the game started, I was thrown into a war-ravaged undead province where multiple vampire lords, including myself, fought over complete control over one another. It was hard at first, but I went to work defeating rival after rival, taking village after village before securing myself the entirety of eastern Sylvania. From my minions I chose two of my most loyal warriors rising them up the ranks to become powerful vassals under myself and govern over my lands as I pushed west to continue battle against the other vampire lords.

I continued my endless advance west, taking a local castle from one of the vampire lords before executing him as an example to all others who choose to oppose me. The only other remaining relevant vampire lord alive who controlled most of western Sylvania, Vlad von Carstein, saw my potential and offered my a sufficient amount of coin for a non-aggression pact between us. I knew I could destroy him, but it would take a great many resources that I wasn't willing to waste at the time, so I wisely accepted and an uneasy peace fell over the undead lands.

Now that there was no more fighting to be done amongst the dead, it was time to bring the fight to the mortals. Down south stood the well-dug in dwarves who would prove a challenge to attack, while up north were a few feeble human empire vassals too far away from their great Emperor to receive help if I attacked. So I attack I did, as I marched my armies north.

I was met by a local mortal lord and his army, as he desperately tried to halt my advance with his own small army. I found myself respecting his bravery, but taking advantage of his foolishness as I sent forth my undead horde to obliterate him.

After only minutes of fighting his lines broke and began retreating from the battlefield. Few escaped as I sent forth my undead and dire wolves to finish the job, slaughtering everyone in their path. One thing the mortals forgot to consider before facing me was my ability to bring them back to life, and so I did, as my army grew even larger with fresh bodies to join my ranks. And with my orders, it marched forth.

Somewhere off to the far east, the humans do foolish battle against each other forgetting about the real problem creeping up from the west.

In Conclusion;

I'd like to thank everyone for reading and hope they enjoyed. This is the introduction to one of three other series I plan on starting, this series revolving around my 'Total War: Warhammer' campaign as the undead with my friend. He's also new to Steemit and decided to make a post on the campaign through his perspective, which I'll be linking below and suggest everyone check out, upvote, and follow him for more great content. Once again, thanks for reading and I hope y'all have a wonderdful day!

This game reminds me of the resident evil series of games. I love the zombie apocalypse kind of gaming (and movies). Warhammer has earned a special place in video game history. I recall the board game warhammer 40,000 was actually pretty cool, too.

nice i need to get this game

Been playing this game nonstop since I picked it up again. Just got the Wood Elves DLC!

Sounds good keep sharing :)

Shogun total war is the best :)
