Just Released a Free Mobile Game - Cubez 3D - Let me know what you think

in #games7 years ago

I am happy to announce that my new mobile game Cubez 3D is live on the ios app store. The game is a free arcade puzzle game. For this game I wanted to modify an already successful style of gameplay. I have received some good feedback while testing and thought I'd post on Steemit and see what people think. The game is free so you have nothing to lose.

Rules of the game

The idea is to destroy an ever increasing nuder of cubez. You do this by aiming and shooting balls at the cubez. Each cube has a corresponding number on it. These numbers are the amount of times the ball must hit the cube to destroy it. The catch is these numbers grow as the game progresses. But, the number of balls you have to shoot also goes up as the game goes on. If the cubez reach the bottom of the screen it's game over.

As I said this is a popular style of gameplay. I added a few new elements to Cubez 3D which I think make it fun.

Highlighted Cubez

The highlighted cubez are the most important cubez on the field. If you fail to destroy the highlighted cube on any given shot you will be punished. Play the game to get the whole story.

I am interested to hear what you think. Let me know in the comments. Thanks

looks cool, but you might want to update and go for brighter colors and stray away from all the shades of grey, it needs to be more vibrant and a bit of graphic work done around the text so it looks like higher production quality. Hope that helps you, good luck on the app store

Thanks for the input @alphacore . I agree, the graphics can always get better. I have some unlockable skins that are a bit brighter. I was thinking about using one of the "flashier" skins as the starting look but went with the more muted look. I might change that in an update.

general rule of thumb for puzzle/arcade games is to be as close to SNES style graphics as possible (in terms of color)
