Mmm New Year Scent - Mandarins - Аромат Нового Года

Since childhood I remember New Year by the scent of real freshly cut down and brought home pine trees mixed with the scent of mandarins. In addition to Christmas tree, mandarins were always associated with New Year celebration. Every Russian family had to have mandarins for New Year.

Besides being a good snack during winter holidays, mandarins have tons of vitamins and are very beneficial for your health. Mandarins have high level of vitamin C which helps to fight off colds and flue. They are a perfect fruit for cold, winter season.

Mandarins also contain vitamin A. Vitamin A is necessary for good eyesight and for proper work of human immune system. It is also a necessary element for the human body, as it assists with proper functioning of internal body organs.

Vitamin B contained in mandarins, as everyone knows, generates energy by converting food into energy which our bodies utilize throughout the day. Many people have heard or even utilized in their lives B Complex tablets which contain eight vitamins B - B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B7, B9, And B12. All of them are essential for our bodies to properly convert food into fuel and energize our bodies.

Another surprising benefit of enjoying mandarins during winter holidays is improved skin texture. Consuming mandarins and applying them to your face externally will make your skin glow. Skin cells will repair themselves, fight off free radicals and become healthy looking and radiant.

I love it!!! We do the same thing in our family. Mandarin oranges have been on our holiday dinner table for years. You have to love traditions. ;-)
