How do you indeed to carry on with this faucet now that steemit has stopped rewarding in SBD?

Will convert STEEM to SBD for payouts but will have to rethink the Faucet now.

Exactly my point.

Instead of the conversion I would suggest you make payment in STEEM since SBDis even higher than STEEM.

No I won't pay out in STEEM as the payment tool I use doesn't support STEEM. May switch to SUP or just stop the Faucet until Steemit payout in SBD again
