Hey there Steemit, I’ve got a new AI Memory tool for you to use. You will get interactive surprises in the form of your memories at random times. It even happens outside of Facebook. Wanna try it out?

st.jpg:

Who made it? I’d like to reward and upvote the creator of the tool if I decide to use it.

fb.jpg:

One of our employees made it. Actually I don’t know which department they work in, but they’ve already been paid a salary, so no need to know who made it.

st.jpg:

Hmmm…ok, no thanks.

fb.jpg:

Hey Steemit, I’ve been noticing that you don’t post status updates any more. What’s up with that?

st.jpg:

Well, your algorithm doesn’t work very well, I don’t get an increase in my reputation when I post on Facebook, and you don’t reward me economically, either. So, when I add up those 3 things, it doesn’t really make sense to write a status update anymore on you.

fb.jpg:

What do you mean I don’t increase your reputation? If your post is popular, it gets pushed to the top of your friends’ feeds. Your post gets more views.

st.jpg:

Well, you don’t display a number next to my name. You have no way of calculating a number that represents how others feel about my content, character and integrity.

fb.jpg:

Hmmm…I see your point. And what did you mean when you said that I don’t reward you economically? What’s that about?

st.jpg:

Well, in my world, users’ upvotes (equivalent to your Facebook Likes) represent money. So, when I get an upvote from one of my friends, I am rewarded with a certain amount of money. The amount of money varies and is dependent upon how much stake one has. If one has a large stake, then that user’s upvote is worth more, than say someone who has a small stake. But my friend doesn’t have to pay me any money from their account. Having Steem (money in Steemit) powered up, makes this wealth-giving property possible. Regular money doesn’t have this attribute. And you don’t have anything like that.

fb.jpg:

Hmmm.....You mean some of the users are kind of turned into investors and stakeholders? So, it’s as if the users have the chance to turn into those who own Facebook stock?

st.jpg:

Yes

fb.jpg:

Hmmm…that’s a genius idea. It kind of gets rid of the whole need of me bugging my users to give me more and more information for the advertisers who are funding my entire existence. So, wait, does this mean you don’t have to bug your users to get their birth dates, interests, entire family history, smoothie preferences and blood type?

st.jpg:

That’s correct. I don’t need much information at all to function. All I need is a username, email address and telephone number. I don’t need any other user information besides that.

fb.jpg:

Wow, that makes your job a lot easier than mine. Hmmm…I wonder why users would hand over all their private data if you don’t require any of it?

st.jpg:

Well, 54,000 Steem accounts were created in July, last month, so I guess those people found out about me.

fb.jpg:

Um, wanna try out my new Ai-generated movie of your Tuesday afternoon?

st.jpg:

I've done that before. It’s not that exciting, plus I don’t really need it.

fb.jpg:

Damn. Maybe what people need is way more basic than what I had assumed. I mean, we just got done with a super duper fancy dancy AI secretary for our users. But maybe what most of them need is just money to survive. I don’t think Zuckerberg really thought this through at all.

st.jpg:

Well, there is one thing I have to deal with that you don’t.

fb.jpg:

What?

st.jpg:

Whale wars.

This is a perfect way for anyone who wants to know the difference between FB and Steem Platform to read , I think it's much easier this way then explaining it literally . You are so creative woman ! @stellabelle

Definitely, How can one post a steemit blog on facebook?

This really summarize the story , it's all about the appreciation that steemit offer where there aren't any platforms could offer. This community motivated the users to hang in here, reward them with high reputatuon and money in return , you give steemit your effort and time then keep doing this eventually you will get back more than you aim.it's like a tree the more you care the more quality of fruits you get. Am new here and i found it so hard to get attention to my posts however i'll never go back untill it done. It's not about money only indeed steemit is great community to sgare thoughts, experiences and discussion with open minded people , glad find such a fantastic cimmunity. Till now i read many great articles and found extraordinary people like you. I have many things to share with you steemians ,all of this gratitude that i felt on steemit after 13 days am not felt this in 7 years on facebook according to me there is no comparison at all @stellabelle

this was really special to me:

all of this gratitude that i felt on steemit after 13 days am not felt this in 7 years on facebook.

Facebook it appears has become too big, and too corporate. Steemit is much more like a community, and Facebook feels like that giant warehouse where you work, and nobody eats lunch together. Steemit is like a big potluck dinner, where people are trying to get each other's attention.

exactly as you said , have a nice day

Hi @stellabelle I've published a post about you, check it out if you can, thanks.

Totally.... Someone said "Nice catch" to me yesterday in reply to a comment I made about an obscure similarity in two pieces of pop culture. I was on top of the world. :-)

The ironic difference between Steemit and Facebook is that here we are transparent and yet enjoy complete privacy. Everything we voluntarily do here is recorded in the blockchain and our wallets and transfers are transparent and visible. And yet, there's no privacy violation here. Nobody collects data on you to sell to others or to use for advertising. It's the exact opposite of how Facebook is structured and I love that.

yeah, i've thought of the ironic aspects, too. It's the first place where everyone can see everyone's bank account. This is truly weird. And we can use pseudonyms, but yet we can see each other's money. It's like a complete reversal of Facebook, and the more time you spend in here, the more outdated Facebook feels.

Very Good post! really like it!

Nice post :D

HAHAHA! Awesome post, I love it! :) BTW, I hate those generated post as well! I hope this post gets in front of Marks Zuckerbergs desk! Steemit is the future, facebook WILL eventually die out as they can only copy people for so long. They are too greedy to copy this wonderful platform.

You know you can send the post to your Facebook, just click under the PROMOTE button there are social media instant links, go ahead send it to you FB. I'm sure if enough sharing of this post happens on FB, IT WILL BE NOTICED.

Awesome, and hits the nail on the head for why Steemit is going to continue to grow. It's got FB whipped and it's still in beta. I don't even check FB anymore.

It's cool to see how such a powerful and simple idea can be so game changing even as it's being worked out. It's fun to be at the ground level of something that's so disruptive.

i hope in future steemit will evolve to future of social networks, and all will receive rewards from their stories, status updates, now we are far away 12 million non unique people, and facebook is billions but we growing fast and we got chance to be first pioneers in social networks reward system:)

Your originality and conversion of facebook and steemit deserves an strong upvote! Plus, your comic is funny and just plain cool! Keep posting comics!!

LOL, very creative, thanks.
