. National Security Adviser to President Donald Trump says the United States can impose sanctions on its European allies if it continues to deal with Iran under a nuclear deal.
National Security Adviser, John Bolton, said Trump in announcing the US exit from Iran's nuclear deal stated that countries that continue to deal with Iran could face US sanctions.

"Europe will face effective US sanctions, already really, because much of what they want to sell to Iran involves US technology, whose permits will not be available," he said as quoted by ABC News.go, Monday (14/5 / 2018).
Bolton insisted that Iran has increasingly exercised its military power in the Middle East under the mask of a nuclear deal with the US and its European allies.
"Iran is shifting the balance of power in the Middle East until President Trump comes out of this deal," Bolton said.

"If you look at the progress Iran has made under this treaty, its conventional military and terrorist advances, in Iraq, in Syria, in Lebanon, in Yemen, since 2015, Iran is really moving," he added.
According to Bolton, the fundamental flaw of the nuclear deal is that Iran has never issued a statement about its previous military activities in connection with its nuclear program.

"It only violates every sound rule of arms control negotiations," he said.
"We also do not have, since the implementation of the agreement, simply, really, the examination of military facilities where Iranian weaponry activities may be done," Bolton said.
