SEC-S20W2 /Sleepover, Stories and Creativity

in #children-s20w23 days ago (edited)

Greetings Everyone, This is Shahariar (username shahariar1). From Bangladesh

This week is the second time I've found a topic I'm excited to participate in. @anailuj1992 would like to thank you for bringing this beautiful content. And for getting me excited. This childhood is hidden in each of us. We want to go back to our childhood again and again. But it is not possible. But spending some time with these children brought me back to my childhood. The timing was great. Let's visit my story telling children and their wonderful art.

I would like to introduce my little friends to you to start writing. Saima (age 8), Maria (age 09), Ayesha (age 10) with me (Rimi age 8).

I did my arrangement of this serif over in the afternoon. Because children are in school all day. Busy studying at night. As I wanted to do this arrangement with my cousins. So I got them to me in the afternoon. I had written a story for them in advance to enhance their creativity through drawing. Let's get into the arrangement.

I have created a short children's story with a very simple and positive message here is the story:

"In a forest there lived a mother bird and a father bird. They had three police stations. Their children have also just learned to fly. So they were flying on this branch of the tree.

Their father called them and said since you have grown up, we will build a big nest on top of a big tree for everyone to live together. Then father bird and mother bird built their nest.

After building the nest, the chicks said that we want to decorate our nest with leaves and flowers. Then they decorated their home and started living happily with their parents."

Family is where everyone's life begins and love never ends.”

Before finishing the story, they hurriedly started drawing 😆

Tell the children the story you have created. After telling the story, give each child a sheet of paper and colored pencils to draw something related to the story and show their creations.

I had a great experience with the kids today. Once again I want to thank the content contest organizer for getting me excited. Someone once said that spending time with children increases life expectancy. I could feel the essence of this saying today. Had a great time with them. I told them the above story and gave them color pencils and PS to draw pictures.

The funniest moment was when I had to tell them the story more than 20 times. Although they start drawing after hearing the story for the first time. But don't believe I'm tired of telling them stories for a moment. They drew for more than 30 minutes and I told this story about 20 times during this time. 😅

Share your sleepover experience. What were the most fun moments? How did the children react to the story? Did they do any other activities?

One drew a large tree and built a human nest under the tree. And said it was a bird's nest. I tried to read his mind. I thought he was imagining his own family when he was thinking about the bird family. I felt like he could sense the negative side of my story. I have shared the feeling of joy in being together with family in the story of Pakhi. But I reminded him again that it would be made of a bird's nest and a tree branch.

As they were very young, their drawings were more creative. They drew forest plants. Some again drew the sun in the sky. I was really amazed by their creative abilities. They initially sit together to draw, but towards the end they start drawing separately so that they can't copy each other's drawings. I liked this very much.

I told the kids that there are prizes for them to focus on their numbers. Whoever does the best drawing will be rewarded. So they were drawing very carefully. As they did great drawings, I gave them all a small packet of biscuits.
