Heated toilet seats in Japan: really for cats?

Maybe you have heard about the high-tech toilet seats in Japan. They are heated, because our bathrooms aren't heated. Many of them have a water attachment to spray you clean and even an air dry setting. These, of course, were made for human comfort, right? Maybe not, said my cats. One cold morning several years ago, I stumbled into the bathroom and found this on my heated seat. "Oh, you want us to move? Why? You have a nice warm bed. This is our warm spot." I couldn't remove them without taking this picture! Of course, then they were enticed off by some fishy smelling cat food!

Are these spoiled cats or what?
