Tanaman jambu bol (jambu kepal dan jambu merah) adalah pohon buah kerabat jambu-jambuan yang merupakan tanaman buah tahunan yang Berasal dari kawasan Indo-Cina, Malaysia, Filipina, Indonesia. Literatur Lain menyimpulkan bahwa jambu bol berasal dari Malaysia. Buah jambu ini memiliki tekstur daging yang lebih lembut dan lebih padat dibandingkan dengan jambu air. Tidak begitu jelas mengapa namanya demikian karena bol (bahasa Melayu) atau bool (bahasa Sunda).
