Gender inequality and blogging #1 My Journey

in #blog7 years ago (edited)

Dear everyone,

First and foremost, I want to take this time out to appreciate everyone and this community for treating me to such a ravishing and overwhelming hospitality in my welcome to steemit party, this is such an amazing place to be.
I want to start my blogging adventure with this topic "Gender Inequality and it adverse effect on Blogging.

Oftentimes gender is been confused with sex, sex is the biological difference of man and woman while gender on the other hand is roles and values associated with the way the society or community allocate responsibilities to each sex and how each sex are expected to behave in all their dealings both privately and publicly.

Gender inequality has it proportional variations according to cultures, countries, religions, family, societal values and believe which is influenced by socially developed gender roles and stereotypes since the human existence. The male sex are perceived as family head biblically, the female sex are expected to take care of households while work and financial responsibilities are handed down to the head of the family the male sex

Gender inequality isn't a female sex issues, it's a human thing as it affect both sex simultaneously. Been the head of the family comes with it own rigorous and strenuous responsibilities neither is taking care of households that easy.
A few years back a Neo-traditional gender role system was constructed to encourage both genders to share and contribute to households, work and financial responsibilities equally, however the constructed gender role system has been a shadow of itself as both genders are not avail same opportunity to practice this theory.

It's obvious gender inequality has this colossal effect on both sex in this 21st century where civilization and technology has swept and catapult the human race to a land our forefathers could only imagine.
Gender inequality has it effects on Blogging, social media relevance, political ambitions and limitations, religious practice, girl child education, jobs and employment criteria etc. Which I will be writing about in my subsequent series of "Gender Inequality and Blogging.
