Will 2018 be a good year for Bitcoin Cash?

in #bitcoin7 years ago

Craig Wright is a well known figure in the Bitcoin world. Recently he has disproved accusations of actually being Satoshi Nakamoto. But something Wright has made very clear is that in his opinion, 2018 will be the year of BCH as the Bitcoin with the most potential. In this article we will explore this train of thought further...

Many people ignore Craig Wright but no one can deny that Bitcoin in its current state simply isn't good for anything beyond a digital store of value. That will eventually change for the better, hopefully. This is something that Bitcoin Cash has been trying to capitalize on and if they succeed they may make a huge impact in the coming months.

Craig Wright claims that BCH is the Bitcoin fork with the most potential. Some of the changes coming up for BCH include a non-constrained block size, new super-secure web wallets and improved coin mixers. Did already I mention that as we speak, BCH currently offers on-chain scaling as a better alternative to the lightning network?

Any form of Bitcoin lacks privacy and anonymity by default. This can only be achieved by mixing coins or using altcoins with such functionality. Until now, there has not been much debate regarding Bitcoin Cash and mixers. Such services will always have their place in the market. Craig Wright believes this will help proper Bitcoin Cash to become a globally adopted cryptocurrency. Only time will tell if any of this will come true, though.

I've been hearing a lot of rumblings that privacy coins are going to be a major trend as governments look to collect taxes on all the gains being made in cryptocurrency markets.

Either way, 2018 should be a great year for cryptocurrencies in general. In 2018 we can expect Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash battling it out for increasingly large market caps. I personally like both for their valid use cases. I feel that both offer something the other doesn’t and they are complimentary rather than competitive although many may not see it that way.

It isn't about which one is better, its about what the markets support. At the moment the answer is clearly Bitcoin over Bitcoin Cash. But if Craig Wright is right, next year we will see a lot of movement in BCH price regardless of the disputes regarding which one is 'better.'

Thanks for dropping by!

I think it will still going up. At least till 2019

I'd agree with your thoughts on the direction here... Its unclear why it would stop at 2019. Care to elaborate?

Bitcoin cash has been jumping Everytime @techblogger

Absolutely. It's the real bitcoin afterall ;)

BCH is about to explode, buy now kids.

I've got mine already. But might buy a bit more if I like what comes out of the camp in the next few weeks!

BCH isn’t censorship resistant... it is fool’s gold being peddled by conmen. Sell your BTC for it will rekt you once the hammer drops.

Interesting thoughts. Want to develop this statement more? Interested to hear your thoughts and specific points validating this sentiment.

It’s pretty self evident. BCH is spearheaded by rather small group of vocal and bitcoins-rich people, operating mostly out of a communist country. Last I look, more than half the BCH mining was ‘anonymous’. PBOC could call Jihan any time it wants to demand a KYC hard fork and he would be on the phone getting it done ASAP. Your holdings worthless overnight. At its core, BCH is a political coin, introduced in a political way.

I want zero to do with it or any of its proponents.

I was hoping we could put this issue to rest long ago. However, a smear campaign continues against Bitcoin protocol… twitter.com/i/web/status/9…

Would you provide some thoughts on why BCH is truly decentralized, censorship resistant, and can scale on-blockchain. LInks to later point esp appreciated.
