Beautiful beaches of Montevideo, Uruguay!

BUCEO BEACH

The beach of Buceo surrounds a small homonymous port, inaugurated in 1939 and provides one of the most picturesque views of the city. Nautical sports, regattas and fishing are part of the usual activities of this picturesque corner of Montevideo. In the fish markets you can buy the best fresh fish of the city, and also taste in the friendly establishments in the open air.

POCITOS BEACH

For 100 years it has been the most popular beach in Montevideo thanks to its excellent services and its proximity to the city center. Its origins go back to the 19th century, when it was one of the first resorts in South America. Today it is an important residential area, with its characteristic coastal landscape bordered by a belt of tall buildings. In summer, the beach is chosen for the practice of sports activities like beach soccer, volleyball, and for various nautical sports. At the same time, in winter, the rambla of Pocitos becomes ideal for skaters and cyclists, who take advantage of its exclusive way to circulate.

MALVIN BEACH

Surrounded by one of the most elegant neighborhoods of the capital, Malvín beach is characterized by being wider than the previous ones and having clearer waters. In front of the beach you can see the Isle of the Gulls, a rock formation that gives a special charm to the landscape. Like all beaches in Montevideo, it has a hostel and lifeguards.

CARRASCO BEACH

It is the most important residential area of ​​Montevideo. Its old and modern houses, its tree-lined streets and tranquility are the perfect setting for an extensive beach with fine white sand.
In March 2013, the Rambla of Carrasco regained one of its emblems when it opened its doors the Casino Carrasco & Spa, in a building with a hundred years of history, declared National Historic Patrimony in 1975.

RAMIREZ BEACH

It is the first beach to the East from the Port of Montevideo. Its surroundings, characterized by iconic buildings such as the Casino Hotel, the roller-skating rink and its urban graffiti and the capital's main Amusement Park, Rodó Park with its giant wheel and the roller coaster provide a unique identity.
In summer, the Ramirez offers multiple recreational and sports activities to perform. Soccer, handball, head goal, volleyball, aerobic gymnastics are part of their daily activities. Every 2nd of February , the beach becomes the main stage of the religious festival of Iemanjá, which arouses great tourist interest
