The Yamal Peninsula is located in northwestern Siberia which is a gazelle of deer.

In the winter of 2013, incredibly warm temperatures bring rain to the peninsula.

This incident made the grassland covered by a thick layer of ice.

Deer living on the Yamal Peninsula can not dig ice to find food, which causes tens of thousands of starving animals to death.
