'The Public Water Faucets'

When I was a kid these things were everywhere. We would all drink from them after playing basketball at the schoolyard or after extensive bicycle rides in a nearby park. Actually, up to a few years back, I've still seen a few that were functional. These days they are probably all turned off. No more free water for thirsty ones. Well, as each time brings its own flavour, a keen someone took time to paint them. I like it so much that I'll be posting them from time to time.

The motif that inspired this one is city streetcar No.12 :) If one doesn't live here, he/she can hardly get the artist's intention. Took me awhile, I admit! :D So number 12, as you already figured out is the line number, the "101" is an old serial number of the streetcar, yellow part is the windows and red dots are the lights, of course.

I composed it with a no-parking sign, to get a little more red for to balance the blue in the composition. This would go in "real life" photographs. Definitely no abstraction here. It just looks cool and weird.

The part from which icy cold water would be pouring once in my childhood out is missing. So is the childhood. :D

Enjoy! :)

We have a similar thing with our water service but you must have a tool for it in order to get water and it gives a high pressure water.

Nice click

I really enjoy your photographs, they shoot my imagination. Thank you very much for sharing, I wish I had for the photographs, the same vision that I have with the words.

hahahaha awesome comparison! :)

This is really an interesting topic for discussion. In my country there are also such "free" water taps. But they are practically all blocked. There is a feeling that recently the authorities have become unprofitable that people would drink water. For all you have to pay.

Seeing this I remember the times when I was young. At that time we liked to gather in the street and play football and other games. Nearby there was always such a "free" tap for water and everyone could quench their thirst there.

Now all this is gone. There are no children on the street who play football and there is no "free" water. Children are no longer interested in spending their time on street games, it became interesting to immerse themselves in the virtual world. And the authorities are no longer going out today that people would drink "free" water - they are interested in the monetization of "everything" that surrounds us. I hope that I will not see those times when people have to pay money for the air :)

Thank you
Goodnight

Water play is a combination of learning that is easy to remember and entertaining. Take examples of air used froth. See the eyes of children of correction. They learn to focus and at the same time use the water. Not this, the kids start accumulating vocabularies.

The scales get better and the communication is much smoother.

What is water, math, and science? If the child is a good observer and wise, he or she will be sent with the conditions around him. He can start cold or hot water. Also will learn to take water with a big mark and then put it in a small sign. Children will also see floating objects as well as hidden ones. These are all maths and sciences that are not directly direct.

The drama will pour and melt the water, the feet will go there and here, sometimes children will also sideline while looking at the splash of water that ripples. With this great movement, it will also stimulate fine motor development. In the future, he will enslave the child with the trauma of the pensel and encourage him to write well. When children play in the water, he will always think. Perhaps he imagined being watering staples or washing trains. This is great for its development.

In my childhood, I never had the experience of playing in the water spraying from the fire hydrants. We would set up a sprinkler in the backyard and have hours of fun running through the water. I think it would have been amazing splashing around in the street with my friends.
