Fractal Art

in #art7 years ago (edited)

Ex-physicist Tom Beddard showcases in his website many interesting mathematical and generative graphics that are inventive and inspirational. Among the works, his experiments in Fractal Art seem to be the more engaging ones.

damm those are amazing brilliant indeed amazing experiment done with Fractal Art :D

@blazing Thanks lovely

Nice! Especially #2 would make for great wallpaper. And the objects would be interesting to examine further in 3D. Thanks for sharing! Definitely checking out more Tom Beddar artwork now

not sure you could do fractals in 3D but it would be interesting.

Well, nature is doing it already. Trees, clouds, your own blood vessels. Fractals in 3D! So I think it should be possible. Perhaps not with these artworks, but I definitely think they will play a role in the (very exciting) future of virtual reality.

Yes you are right, I didn't think of that. Perhaps it will play a part in virtual reality, as you say. Would be quite logical in fact.

@uhura3 Yea for sure you can using algorithmic design and 3D software like Python or Grasshopper with Rhino 3D

@jonasontheroof Cheers. Are you a 3D artist that like to experiment with Algorithmic design!

Iterations and the Mandelbrot-set are present in this poem

Wow dude, these are amazing. Never seen such, thanks for sharing!

@ohmano Will add more. Follow to check next posts

That's cool, reminds me of MC Esher. Thanks for posting.

@outwalking may be. Escher is a genius

I think you're right.

These are brilliant images, simply astounding.

@uhura3 Appreciate you like it

I love the symmetry of these fractal art pieces, as well as the small geometric details. Thanks for sharing!

@xpandamind Yea, 3D with computational design can get you amazing complex results

Very cool! If you take a look at the source (http://sub.blue/) there are so many more to look at!

@thequantumknight Happy you took a look on the link

So inspiring :::)
