hey Steemit people, heres a short introduction about myself. :)

hi im jerick galanga a professional 2d artist, illustrator and also a graphic artist from Philippines.
i really love to draw since i was a kid.. at that time i don't really know about digital art so i grow up with traditional art..
using some cheap materials like artex watercolor, mongol pencils and some bond papers.. i start leaving myself and let my imagination decide where to go., then i start transferring all information that i see in a piece of paper.. most of my drawing back then was mostly fan-art.

as i grow up i decided to took fine-arts but it was a major in advertising instead of painting because my parents thought me that artist in our country are the poorest ones if you dont have connections with the upper class peoples,. so at least if i graduated in advertising i can apply and work in a big tv channel station..
but that was not my calling even i finish the course and learned some basic photoshop.. i want to grow as a real artist not as a part of advertising company
so i decided to apply for 2d position.. i took the exam.. and was really nervous because i see all of them using some alien tool that i dont know that can be used for drawing.. which later i found out it was called the "pen-tool" . ^_^
the exam was coloring test
i tried my best to use the pen tool of the office but dont know how it works so i try my best using a mouse to color it..
finally im done and gone home.. after a few working days i recieve a call.. that i was one of the artist that passed the test.. but the boss give me a condition.. that i should learned how to pain with the pen tool. it was challenging but finally after some working days i become more comfortable of using the pen to create more artworks.. creading different art for hidden object games games

but as a Filipino, being an artist at my own country is very challenging.. we dont really paid much in our country so in order to support my family i tried to register as a freelance artist in some websites. i got some clients ,and later on i decided to make freelance job as my full-time job..im really happy that it was a satisfying job for me paying double or sometimes triple than my salary working in a company, learned new things like web designing, character creation,3d modelling, animation, unity reskinning games and more..
im really thankful to God that he give me the right path to gain success in my career..
until now i work as a freelance artist.and still keeping on learning new things and exploring more opportunities in life..

thats it!! ^_^ ... thanks guys and hope you learned a lot from me.
