14 horrific renditions of "Alien" have appeared in the film franchise for four decades

Here are the famous monsters that appeared in the "Alien" brand.

The Alien series has been around for more than four decades, with seven films already in the public domain. For its eighth part, Alien: Covernant is currently scaring the audience away in the movie. At the same time, the latest version also received much praise for being the successor to the first Alien.

There is no denying the appeal of the film lies in the director, tales horror thriller, and the cast of famous actors through the period. But the writer himself believes: The link connects all of these parts of the film, which brings the timeless value series; Again, the monsters in the movie. Thanks to these monsters, the series has engraved in viewers' minds the fear of what lies hidden in outer space. If you do not believe, imagine the scene of xenomorph coming out from the dark and dancing at you.

As said, the Alien world has quite a bit of monsters and other similar, and the transformation of the monster itself is complex, and their origin is mysterious, so the writer asked for Make a list of these monsters, including those in the new movie.
14. Queen

We start the list with a creature known as the mother of xenomorph monsters: Queen. First appearing in Aliens (1986), the creature was based on James Cameron's unique idea, and to put Queen on the silver screen, Design and build a giant puppet with relatively flexible mobility. And in the film, Queen is the opposite version of the heroine Ripley: If Ripley is trying to protect the little girl Newt, Queen also do all the way to protect her eggs.

Queen in the movie is the same but the queen or queen in the world of insects: It is the largest, with longer tails and bigger than other xenomorphs, and at the same time it is also much wiser. In addition, it can also be used to detach prey from its eggs.
13. Oromorph (Eggs)

First appearing in the first Alien version, these horrific eggs became obsessed with the viewer, knowing that such a thing was lying in your home. As it is in the film, Oromorph is able to recognize suitable host species, and when the host is close enough the egg will automatically split (what comes out of it then demote it).

In scenes cut off from the movie, there is a scene showing the victims who died from the heap of eggs are transformed into similar eggs. The reason it was cut was probably because the filmmaker was afraid the viewer could not stand it.

12. Facehugger

Usually for all creatures, the reproductive process is inherently slow and heavy. There are things, with monsters like Alien, reproduction is very fast and hair shrinkage. As mentioned above, when the suitable host is found, the Oromorph egg will split itself, and one of them will jump into the face of the host (to be called Facehugger). And once it is taken then only you determine that fit.

This creature was born with only one purpose: Implant a single embryo into the host through the mouth. Instead of causing the victim to suffocate, it will provide oxygen to the host until the embryo transfer is complete. And if you try to get it out of your face, it will kill the host with the tail, or worse, spray it with its acidic blood on the host.

11. Chestburster

After the embryo is implanted, it will separate itself from the host. The transplanted person is still healthy, but the embryo develops rapidly in the chest; Until it is large enough to break the chest of the victim (Chestburster).

This is probably one of the most classic scenes of the Alien series in particular and in the history of cinema in general. This scene not only made people first see this film have to shoot people, it is also the introduction of the Alien species to the mass audience.

10. Xenomorph

This is the most notorious representation of the entire Alien movie. Xenomorph is the perfect form of Chestburster, and most horror is that it only takes a few hours to grow. Many people mistakenly think that Ridley Scott was behind these scary creatures, but Xenomorph was actually designed by artist HG Giger, who collaborated with Ridley on his first Alien project.

An adult Xenomorph can be up to 2 meters tall, and besides the intense acidic blood that can melt away both iron and iron in its body, the monster is also "upgraded" The second blade with enough force to penetrate the human skull.

But the most interesting thing about the Xenomorphs is that it will rely on the physiological side of the host to automatically fuse its physical characteristics into its adult form, which is intended to be compatible with alien environments. So the Xenomorphs in Alien can stand on two legs like humans.

Like cold-blooded insects, Xenomorph is more difficult to trace, and more often they follow the flock and rarely travel.

9. Runner

Runner is considered to be the most common form of Xenomorph, created when embryos are transplanted into non-human animals (usually four-legged animals). The name also says it all, the Runner is the Xenomorph, with the ability to move very fast thanks to four legs, but sometimes it can stand on both legs (if not chasing prey).

The most famous Alien Runner in the series is Dragon, the main villain in Alien 3. Its host is the Spike, and it grows up in a split second (with a smaller body than usual). And it alone "ransacked the heathen", dealing almost all of the prisoners and guards in the Fiona space prison "Fury" until it was killed by Ripley himself.

8. Newborn

Alien: Resurrection is often considered the worst part of the Alien series. And the new monster designed for this film also suffered the same fate as eating bricks.

Background of Alien: Resurrection is 200 years after what happened in Part 3, with the US government warmly demanding to clone heroine Ripley with blood samples taken before her death. The worse is that the sample contains the DNA of the Aliens, and so the scientists are given an Alien embryo in Ripley's cloned body. And this is also the origin of the Newborn.

Ignoring the plot of the film, the bizarre design of this new monster seems to "go away" from its predecessors, so it has faced a lot of criticism from viewers. But do not despise this monster: It does not have a tail or tongue or sticky nose, it is still a mass murder machine. Each crime is when you see this monster appear on the screen, you will not be afraid to feel a bit silly. The way it dies is just as silly (die of a hole in the spaceship).

7. Engineer

Before Prometheus debuted in 2012, the real origin of the Xenomorphs was all conjecture from the fans. Then Ridley Scott decided to make a small "prequel" part, and we learned that it was the engineers who created, not just Xenomorph, but also the life of the Earth.

Ridley is very "hinted" in his scenes, there are things the character of the Engineer does not completely hide his own connotation: Basically the Engineers are considered the taste Because they "accidentally" bring life to Earth, but their origins are still very mysterious. Genetically, engineers are almost human-like, even though they look much better than us - bigger and bigger physically, with dark eyes and shiny white skin.

However, even if they are more advanced than human beings, Engineers also have a major problem with their biological experiments. It seems that their own biological weapon made all the engineers to flee the planet LV-233. It is more difficult to understand that the remaining engineers have become hostile to the people there to find out the answer. Perhaps this mystery will be solved in Alien: Covernant.

6. Black Lidquid

This "black liquid" is what is found in the exotic architectural block believed to be the Engineers' Research lab in Prometheus. Later, we learn that this liquid is a chemical weapon developed by engineers for a purpose: destroy the Earth.

Black liquids when exposed to different people will cause different effects, such as causing Holloway to develop disease, or cause terrible mutations in the body (case of Fifield character). This weapon is carefully stored in special containers to minimize contact with it. However, before the engineers took it to Earth, they became victims of it.

5. Hammerpede

It seems that black liquor affects not only every human being, but it also affects lesser forms of life.

Immediately after finding the liquid containers, the explorers accidentally left a worm exposed to Liquid Black. As a result, the worms mutated into Hammerpede.

Fifield and Milburn became victims of the worms in a somewhat crappy scene: They found the Hammerpede and then crumpled them, leading to the worms getting into their shirts and strangling Milburn. Next they sprayed acid into the helmet of Fifgield, causing him to smash his face onto the black liquid on the ground.

4. Trilobites

The way Trilobites "born" makes viewers extremely embarrassed: Holloway's character accidentally drink a black liquid, then sex with the female lead Elizabeth Shaw, causing her to become pregnant (although she can not be pregnant) . So far it's still not clear whether or not the black liquid causes Holloway's cell mutation, or that the embryo is passed to Elizabeth through the mouth. Fortunately for Shaw, she was able to remove the Trilobites from her body before she could break her stomach, and Shaw locked it in the isolation chamber.

Of course this tentacle monster grows as fast as blowing, escaping and attacking the final engineer. Like the Facehugger, the Trilobites cling and transfer the embryos to the Engineer's body and die quickly afterwards. According to Alien, the designers initially wanted the Facehugger to look a bit like a squid, but then they dismissed the idea. Later, the Prometheus film crew reused Facehugger's first drafts to create the Trilobites.

3. Deacon

This monster is the breach of the engineer chest, and it only appears once only. Dubbed Deacon Alien, this monster was just born, but it was bigger than an adult Xenomorph. So far it is still unknown whether it can grow as many times as old, as it says: It appears only in a short moment: the last part of Prometheus.

In the original script, this Deacon should have been a Jockey-Xenomorph. Further explanation for this is that in the first Alien, the characters find an ancient spacecraft of the Engineer clan, and even in the spaceship are the fossils of an Engineer with a chest hole.

This proves that the corpse is a special Xenomorph host, but throughout the Alien movie it does not appear (probably because it is dead old). As originally thought, the Jockey-Xenomorph story will be the perfect answer to the mystery of Alien origin. But then this idea was removed at the request of the studios. It seems that this new Deacon is still trapped at planet LV 223.

2. Android

Putting Android on this list is a bit out of the question, but there is no denying the fact that these Androids appear almost throughout the film. The Android in the movie also has very different personalities and goals.

The first Android to appear in Alien is called Ash. Initially, the crew of the Nostromo spacecraft did not know Ash was a biological robot, thinking he was an eccentric scientist. It was not until later that Ash learned that Android was manufactured by the Weyland-Yutani corporation with the goal of bringing the Xenomorph specimen to the corporation. This also makes Ripley never trust the Android anymore.

Prometheus is making viewers look older than these biological robots: The character David 8 by Fassbender is also an Android and, despite the lives of the crew, only to achieve the goal of collecting information. Information for his employer: Peter Weyland. If you went to see Alien: Covenant, you would never want to be near an Android (yes, David).

1. Neomorph

In the hit Alien trailer: Covernant, the filmmakers introduced the new Xenomorph to the viewer, with a shorter name than Neomorph.

According to initial information, this new monster-like creature is a consequence of Black Liquid as it destroys the Planet of Engineers. And instead of embryos, Neomorph grows out of small spores dispersed by bizarre ground-dwelling nests (which are more like plants). The spores enter the body via the ear, nose, or mouth of the host, leading to this new breed which is more dangerous and difficult to control than the old Xenomorph.

In addition, instead of breaking his chest, the trailer also revealed that the new monsters ripped the back of the host to escape. Neomorph also has white skin (the specific color of the engineers), in contrast to their Xenomorph brothers.

So what do you think is the most feared monster in the Alien series? What creature make you awake all night? Please leave a few lines in the comments section of the post.
