Art for Gifts this Christmas Holidays

Being a student, I have limited funds to spend on gifts. I am not really an artist, but I do enjoy looking at some, and thought of trying it out myself!

I tried my hand in painting using poster paint and a sketch pad! The paint set cost just 150 pesos, or about 3 dollars and the brush for 30 pesos or about 60 cents I think. The sketch pad is only for 35 pesos. Just a little over 200 pesos for endless gifting possibilities!

I love flowers so this will be my first work!

I started with a green line to serve as the "vine".

Next, I started making flowers by simply pressing one side of the brush with paint on the paper. Depending on the flower size you like to make, you can press the brush fully, or just the tip or up to the middle.

I added little white dots on the flower center, and created more flowers of different colors!

I then added leaves and tiny connecting vines on the piece.

I added a quote on family, this is something I'd probably have on display at home.

And here is the finished product!

I did not expect to have so much fun making it! This is a test one, I'd probably make a frame for it, but would still need to think about the materials to use. Suggestions anyone?
