The next day we woke up at 05.30, found the nearest Skytrain stop and took the train to Ekamai station. From here we took the local bus to Bang Phe. Then we found Nuanthip Pier – and took the “ferry” to Samet Island or Koh Samet. And it felt SO GOOD coming to the ocean! I love the salty smell.. and sand..and sun.

This is Bang Phe from when the boat left the dock:

Me just enjoying all this gorgeous blue colour, with Samet Island in the background:

When we arrived around 40 minutes later, we walket to a “hostel” that we booked the night before..

After we left our backpacks at the hostel, we got some food and left straight for the beach. It was low-season so there were not many people, and the beach was beautiful…

We spent the entire day there, and when the sun went down we took a beer and enjoyed the pink skyes:

And then we found this gorgeous hidden place where we spent the entire day (well, we didn’t really find it ourselves, a guy we met the night before during dinner told us about it):

Later we just walked around, talking, taking some pictures, enjoying life..

The next day we had no idea where to go, so we took our backpackes and took the boat back to Nuanthip Pier. We had been thinking about taking the bus to Cambodia, but when we came to the bus station we choose Pattaya instead because it was easyer.. haha.

Bye Island!
